From Worth to Integrity

Dear Family,

Last week, Scripture showed women their true worth a value set by Heaven that is far above rubies. This week, we turn to the mirror image. Because we focused on the makings of a Woman of God, we now focus on the makings of a true Man of God.

📖 “The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.” — Proverbs 20:7

Integrity is not just about being honest; it is about being whole, consistent, and undivided in heart. In many ways, the man of integrity is the reflection of the virtuous woman. Just as Proverbs 31 reveals her priceless worth, Proverbs 20 reveals his unshakable integrity. Together, they reflect God’s design for strength, dignity, and faithfulness across generations.

The Webster’s 1828 Dictionary Definitions

Integrity

Character

Righteousness

A Self-Reflective Pause

• Am I the same person in private as I am in public?

• Does my character reflect consistent traits of godliness, or does it shift with circumstances?

• Am I faithful — true to my word, loyal to God, firm in my promises?

• Do I walk in uprightness — honesty, fairness, and sincerity of heart?

• Am I pursuing righteousness — aligning my heart and life with God’s divine law?

The Legacy of Integrity

Proverbs 20:7 reminds us that integrity does not just affect the individual — it blesses the children that come after. Integrity is not lived in isolation; it becomes an inheritance.

📖 “Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.” — Psalm 112:1–2

📖 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.” — Psalm 37:23–24

• The man who chooses integrity leaves behind trust, stability, and faithfulness.

• The woman who walks in virtue imparts strength, dignity, and wisdom.

• Together, they reflect the fullness of character and faithfulness that God calls His children to embody.

Living Whole in a Fractured World

We live in a culture that celebrates shortcuts, applauds image over reality, and often rewards compromise. Yet the virtuous man and woman are not defined by trends — they are defined by character shaped by God’s Word.

📖 “But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.” — 1 Timothy 6:11

📖 “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” — Micah 6:8

To walk in integrity is to walk in wholeness before God, refusing to be fractured by fear, pride, or deceit.

Conclusion

Worth without integrity cannot endure. But worth anchored in integrity, shaped by godly character, tested by uprightness, and strengthened by righteousness becomes a pillar — steady, unshakable, and generational.

As you step into this week, remember: the man of integrity mirrors the virtuous woman, and both together reflect God’s design for enduring legacy.
