Where Is Your Crown? "Guarding the Legacy, You’ve Built"
Dear Family,
Over the past months, The Virtue Series has taken us on a sacred journey from Peace, to Virtue, to Integrity, to Legacy.
Each step has invited us to not only understand godly character but to embody it.
Now, a new series begins.
“Where Is Your Crown?” picks up where Virtue left off calling us to move from understanding spiritual worth to living it daily.
This new journey challenges us to ask:
“Am I walking like someone who knows their value in God?”
It’s a question of awareness, accountability, and endurance. The crown isn’t a metaphor of status it’s the symbol of faith maintained under pressure, of peace kept under fire, and of virtue preserved through trials.
“Hold fast that which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” — Revelation 3:11
Recognizing the Crown
Before we can guard what’s ours, we must recognize its worth.
According to Webster’s 1828 Dictionary, a crown is:
“An ornament worn on the head by kings and princes, as a badge of imperial or regal power… figuratively, reward, honor, dignity.”
Your crown represents divine authority a reward of endurance, faith, and obedience.
It’s not about royalty as the world defines it, but spiritual responsibility: a reflection of what you’ve overcome and what God has entrusted to you.
“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life.” — James 1:12
Every trial conquered, every temptation resisted, every act of faithfulness adds brilliance to your crown.
From Virtue to Victory
The Virtue Series taught us that peace steadies the soul, virtue strengthens it, and integrity anchors it.
Now, “Where Is Your Crown?” asks — are you protecting what peace built? Are you honoring what virtue produced?
Let’s revisit our foundational definitions for grounding:
Peace — “A state of quiet or tranquility; harmony; freedom from agitation.”
→ Peace is the soil where faith and wisdom take root.Virtue — “Moral goodness; strength; acting power.”
→ Virtue is the active strength to do right in a world that rewards wrong.Integrity — “Wholeness; moral soundness; freedom from corrupting influence.”
→ Integrity keeps the crown untarnished, ensuring your character matches your calling.Legacy — “A bequest; a gift transmitted from one to another.”
→ Your crown is not just for today it’s the inheritance your faith leaves for generations.
Guarding What You’ve Built
The first step in this new series is learning the art of stewardship.
Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines stewardship as:
“The management of affairs; responsible care for something entrusted.”
That means your peace, virtue, and influence are not just blessings they are trusts.
They require prayer, consistency, and discernment to maintain.
And make no mistake the battle is real.
The enemy cannot steal your crown, but he can distract you long enough to set it down.
Distraction, discouragement, and spiritual fatigue are subtle thieves.
They whisper, “You’ve done enough,” or “It’s too hard to keep going.”
But those who wear the crown know: perseverance is worship.
“They do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.” — 1 Corinthians 9:25
Self-Reflective Questions
Am I guarding my peace with the same vigilance I guard my success?
Do my choices reflect a person who knows their worth?
Where have I set my crown down in relationships, in discipline, in faith?
How am I preparing to pass it on to those after me?
Reflection is how we polish our crowns. Awareness is how we protect them.
Conclusion: The Beginning of a New Series
The Virtue Series gave us a foundation peace that steadied, virtue that strengthened, integrity that sustained, and legacy that endured.
But “Where Is Your Crown?” begins a new chapter one that requires you to live as a Crown Keeper.
Your peace is now your defense.
Your virtue is your armor.
Your integrity is your light.
Your legacy is your witness.
📖 “Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” — Revelation 2:10
This is not just the continuation of a teaching it’s a commissioning.
The question is no longer what you’ve learned.
It’s whether you’ll live crowned.
With love,
