From Virtue Awakening to Worth in God

Last week, we discovered that virtue is peace in motion the steady strength that carries us into integrity, courage, and love. This week, we take another step: into the heart of worth.

📖 “Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.” — Proverbs 31:10

The Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines Virtue as:

This definition reminds us that virtue is more than goodness it is strength in motion. And when Scripture says the virtuous woman’s worth is “far above rubies,” it is not talking about status, beauty, or possessions. It is speaking of the moral goodness and inner strength that only God can shape.

A Self-Reflective Pause

• Where have I been tempted to measure my worth by things the world applauds?

• Do I undervalue the quiet strength of virtue in my life because it is unseen?

• How would my choices shift if I truly believed my worth is “far above rubies”?

The Rubies We Chase

Rubies are beautiful, but they fade. Markets rise and fall. Applause can vanish in an instant. Yet God declares that a virtuous life holds a value above the fleeting brilliance of stones.

The world may not always recognize it, but Heaven does. And when Heaven assigns value, it is eternal.

Living Out Pricelessness

True worth is not silent — it is lived out:

• In faithfulness to God even when it costs.

• In kindness that cannot be bought.

• In integrity that refuses shortcuts.

This is what it means to live above rubies — not by glittering outwardly, but by shining inwardly with the light of Christ.

Conclusion

Peace may anchor you, but it is virtue that crowns you. The worth that flows from virtue is not measured in dollars or diamonds, but in faith, love, and strength of spirit. Your value is already set by Heaven — and it is priceless.
